The Rev. Dr. George LaMaster, Director
The Rev. Dr. George LaMaster is the Director of the Notre Dame Scholars' Program, where he oversees the administration and planning for the program.
Known to students as “Dr. George,” he previously served as a professor, department chair, and speech team coach at Marian University in Indianapolis. Also an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA), he leads professional development workshops and spiritual retreats on topics related to communication and leadership.
George holds a B.S. from Bradley University in Philosophy and Communication, M.Div. from Princeton Theological Seminary, M.A. in Speech Communication from Indiana University, and a Ph.D. in Communication and Culture from Indiana University.

Samantha Cloon, Associate Director
Samantha Cloon is the Associate Director of the Notre Dame Scholars' Program, where she oversees the enrichment funding process and academic programming. Prior to joining NDSP, she worked in the Center for University Advising, serving as an academic advisor for first-year students intending to major in the Mendoza College of Business. She also served as an Academic Advisor and Retention Coordinator in the University of Kansas Undergraduate Advising Center.
Samantha earned a B.A. in Psychology with a supplementary major in Italian from the University of Notre Dame and holds a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Kansas.
