St. Joseph Engineering Scholarship

St. Joseph Engineering Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria

  • Outstanding academic achievement
  • Commitment to service
  • Majoring in the College of Engineering

$15,000 each year for up to four years.

St. Joseph Engineering Scholars are required to remain in good academic standing with the University of Notre Dame. Should they fall out of good academic standing with the University, the scholarship will be terminated. You may submit a request to the Faculty Director regarding reinstatement after one semester in which you have demonstrated academic improvement. Your request will then be reviewed by the Committee on Merit Scholarships. Reinstatement is not guaranteed.

St. Joseph Engineering scholarships are awarded independently of any Financial Aid that students may qualify for and receive. The availability of the scholarship and status will typically end four years from the date of initial enrollment as a merit scholar and will not be extended to additional semesters to account for any semesters during which students were not merit scholars.

This scholarship is awarded based on academic intent. If the recipient decides to change their academic intent, they must notify the Faculty Director of the Notre Dame Scholars' Program after three semesters of study in order to switch to another scholarship. Scholars will be moved to another merit scholarship program with the equivalent tuition scholarship award. However, if they received enrichment funding as part of your original award, this funding will no longer be guaranteed.

If recipients are dismissed from the University for disciplinary reasons, including academic dishonesty, they will lose the scholarship and status as a scholar and will not be reconsidered.
